WW2 Japanese Banzai charge

The illustration depicts a desperate moment in the Pacific Theatre, as Japanese commanders, recognizing the impending defeat, commanded "banzai charges" - human wave attacks - to try and stall the advancing Allied Forces. These attempts, however, proved futile for the Japanese.
