Illustration of an Italian CV.33 light tank used on the Spanish Civil War. More a tankette than a proper tank, its tiny size, thin armor, and the fact that it was only armed with a couple of 8mm machineguns (incapable of making any significant damage to armored targets) made this vehicle quite ineffectual when it encounter enemy tanks or AT guns.
It was used by the Italian Army in the Lybian and Somalia campaign with dire results.
Cute tank, but rather useless.
